How We Got Started...

We started growing popcorn in our garden back in 2020 just for fun, to eat and enjoy ourselves and if we had enough - to share with family and friends! But as it turned out, other people wanted some too! Growing up, my dad would always grow popcorn for us every few years. And you can ask any of my friends...they always remember having popcorn at our house, because it was just the best! And our garden popcorn did not disappoint!

We found an old hand-crank sheller in one of the sheds on our farm to take all the popcorn off the ear. That's when we thought, why not turn it into a project for the kids? It's not only a great way to teach them about hard work and dedication, but also gives them a taste of running a business. And in 2022, we planted a few rows by the driveway, and Farm Kid Popcorn came to be! 

It is all planted, grown, harvested, cleaned and packaged by us and our 3 kids right here on our farm in Nebraska!
